For SMC use with M17/M18 manual safeties, the notch on the chassis is visible and outlined as a guide for the modification needed to be performed for the manual safeties to be usable.
• Triggers: Only guarantee proper fit and function with SIG SAUER OEM triggers. The SMC is made to fit the OEM standards of the SIG SAUER FCU.
• Slide Lengths: The SMC will work with all P320 slide and barrel lengths but best matched on ALPHA for SIG SAUER P320 (Standard) with 4.7" slide or ALPHA for SIG SAUER P320 (Standard) with 3.9" slide using SMC Chassis Mounted Compensator (sold separately). ALPHA for SIG SAUER P320 (Standard) not suggest with 3.6" slide.
• Slide Length Note: Any slide size shorter mentioned in “Slide Lengths:” will have a gap from the front of the slide/muzzle to the front of the SMC chassis front end

Details:

Strike Industries is known for making some really innovative firearms accessories, and one of their best creations is the SMC modular chassis system for the Sig Sauer P320. This chassis system accepts the modular fire control unit from a standard Sig P320 and turns it into a PDW-style weapon that is easier to shoot at longer ranges and more controllable.

This modular chassis incorporates an ambidextrous charging handle that can be mounted on either side of the P320 slide. In addition, this modular chassis comes with the SMC Multi-Optic Mount, which can be installed on its rear module. You can mount almost any red dot sight on this chassis and have it independent from the moving slide. This allows for a more stable sight picture and helps tremendously with your accuracy. The rear module also has a Picatinny rail, which can mount any Picatinny-compatible stock, or brace.

The front of the SMC modular chassis for the P320 has a Picatinny rail under the frame, which can be used to mount a wide range of accessories. This modular chassis system comes with a Spare Magazine Holder, which can optionally be mounted on the front for a better grip and easier access to extra magazines.

Installing your fire control unit into this chassis is super easy. It can simply be placed in and is secured in place using the standard OEM takedown lever. As far as the construction is concerned, this chassis is made from 6061-T6 aluminum, which is sturdier and more durable than polymer.

Overall, the Strike Modular Chassis for the P320 is an excellent accessory that can dramatically improve the abilities of your Sig P320 pistol.

• Be careful of thumb/hand placement at front end of Strike Module Chassis/grip module. Misuse or improper placement can cause disfigurement or death.

• The user is responsible for the modification required to use the M17/M18 manual safeties. The Strike Modular Chassis (SMC) has a visible outline for the shape to fit the M17/M18 manual safeties.
• Wing Tactical only recommends all work be done by a certified gunsmith.
• Be aware that once you remove material in the SMC chassis for the M17/M18 notch, you cannot go back and there will always be a notch for the manual safeties once the modification is done to the SMC chassis.
