Details:

Smith Enterprise now produces the Good Iron Muzzle Brake for the AR-15 platform. The brake is machined from 8620 steel, then put through a salt bath nitride coating process to make it nearly impervious to corrosion and wear. In addition, it undergoes a rigorous heat-treating process to stave off gas erosion.

An advanced arrangement of 14 gas ports will stabilize your rifle by projecting gases upward and out. This has the effect of cancelling out recoil and muzzle climb, allowing you to take quicker follow-up shots and avoid the discomfort of recoil. The bottom of the brake is intentionally left closed to prevent it from creating a conspicuous dust cloud when firing in the prone position. The rounded profile prevents the brake from snagging on gear, clothing, or other objects.
