The Phase 5 FATman Muzzle Brake features two large ventilated baffle sections and chambers. The two top ports of the Phase 5 FATman are machined at a 20-degree forward angle. These ports redirect the energy of spent gas to enable accurate and rapid follow-up shots.

Muzzle brakes are designed to help combat the negative effects of recoil and muzzle rise. Precision shooters and those who participate in shooting competitions will understand the need for as little recoil and muzzle rise as possible.

The effectiveness of a muzzle brake is based on Newton’s Third Law of Motion: “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Muzzle brakes redirect the gasses generated by firing the rifle in a downward motion.
