Details:
One of the biggest drawbacks with AR style rifles is that you cannot use a foldable stock with them because of the buffer tube. However, folding stocks can have many advantages, and apart from AKs, Modern rifles like the Sig MCX and Sig MPX can have foldable stocks.
By folding the stock of a rifle, you can make it shorter, and much easier to transport or carry. If you are looking for a solid and lightweight stock for your rifle or pistol caliber carbine, the Midwest Industries Lightweight Side Folding Stock is an excellent option.
Heavy-Duty, Lightweight Construction
This Midwest Industries Lightweight Folding Stock is made from super durable materials. The side-folding mechanism is made from 4140 steel and has a phosphate finish. The stock adapter has a full-length locking lug for a sturdy lock and maximum strength.
The stock itself is made from super durable yet lightweight 6061 aluminum and has a minimalist aluminum plate. This allows the stock to be strong enough to withstand the rugged use expected from a self-defense or range rifle. To keep the weight low, the stock has a skeletonized modular body, with an overall weight of only 15.9 ounces.
Ambidextrous Folding Mechanism
Most folding stocks only fold on one side, which can make it difficult for some shooters to use the firearm, especially left-handed users. Well, the great thing about the Midwest Industries Side Folding Stock is that it can be folded on both sides. Furthermore, because of its minimalistic design, it doesn't interfere with any of the firearms controls on the MPX and MCX.
Compatible With a Wide Range of Firearms
The Midwest Industries Side Folding Stock can be used with a variety of firearms. It used a Picatinny attachment point, so it can be mounted to any weapon that accepts a Picatinny interface stock. Most commonly, the Sig MPX and Sig MCX have a Picatinny stock interface, but you can also use it on AKs, which are built with a Picatinny stock interface
Modular Design
The Midwest Industries side folding stock has a modular design, and it is compatible with various stock attachments. Moreover, the stock also features three anti-rotation QD swivel sockets to attach a sling.
