The second generation Griffin Armament Quick-Detach Blast Shield works especially well to reduce the muzzle blast typically generated with short-barrel rifle platforms. The quick-detach feature allows the shooter to reconfigure muzzle devices rapidly. This Gen 2 Blash Shield is compatible with Griffin Gate-LOK and most USGI A2 spec muzzle devices.

The Griffin Armament QD Blast Shield Gen 2 body is fluted to reduce weight while improving strength, handling ability, and heat dissipation. The concussive gases are directed forward, allowing the Gen 2 Blast Shield to reduce concussive force significantly.

The Griffin Armament QD blast shield is engineered from high-strength 17-4PH stainless steel and is given a tough melonite QPQ finish for protection from corrosive gases. The Griffin Armament QD Blast Shield Gen 2 installs easily without special tools and comes with a shim set and over-travel stop washer. The shield is compatible with calibers up to and including 9mm cartridges.
