The Fortis Manufacturing carbon-fiber dust cover is built from aircraft-grade aluminum with carbon-fiber inserts for increased durability and weight reduction over polymer-based dust covers. The carbon fiber dust cover is designed to cover the entire ejection port when the rifle is at the ready to prevent debris from accidentally entering the breech. The cover will fit a wide variety of upper receiver builds that are .223/5.56 compatible and is available in several color finishes.

Increased Safety and Performance

Designed to prevent the action from jamming, the Fortis Manufacturing carbon-fiber cover effectively seals off the gun's ejection port to stop debris from accidentally entering the ejection port during drills and hunting situations. The carbon fiber dust cover is made to fall away from the ejection port when the gun's bolt is pulled back, allowing the spent cartridge casings to be freely ejected.

Quality Construction

Cut from a single piece of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and reinforced with carbon-fiber inserts, the Fortis Manufacturing carbon fiber dust cover is much more durable than standard polymer-based covers. Weighing in at just 1/2 ounce, the cover doesn't noticeably increase the weight of the receiver. The cover's anodized coating is available in flat dark earth/tan, black, grey, red, blue, and gold colors so it can be color-coordinated with other accessories.

The Fortis Manufacturing carbon-fiber cover is sold with all the necessary parts needed for easy and quick assembly and installation.
