Designed for Long-Range Shooting

This upper assembly is perfectly designed for long-range shooting and hence has a long 24-inch barrel. The barrel is made from 416R Stainless Steel and is fluted to decrease overall weight. The rifling in the barrel is 1:8, which is ideal for stabilizing the 6.5 Creedmoor projectile in the 24-inch barrel. Moreover, it comes equipped with an A2-style flash hider, which can be replaced with any other muzzle device using the 5/8"-24 thread pitch.

M-LOK Handguard

You also get a modern slim profile M-LOK handguard with this upper assembly. The 15-Inch ATLAS handguard has M-LOK slots on both sides and the bottom, with a Picatinny rail on top to mount front iron sights. The gas system has a low profile to work with the slim profile handguard, and uses a rifle length gas tube to work optimally with the long 24-inch barrel.

The DPMS High Profile receiver itself is made from7075-T6 aluminum and features both a port door and forward assist. In addition, it has a class 2 hardcoat anodized finish for durability and M4 feed ramps for improved reliability.
