Details:
If you want a quality 16-inch AR barrel you can count on for an exceptionally long service life, look into one of this cold hammer forged beauty from Spikes Tactical. When you buy a CHF Spikes Tactical Barrel you can expect exceptional duty life. Many CHF barrels outlast lesser barrels by many thousands of rounds and maintain their accuracy throughout their service life.
Spikes Optimum Barrel
The Spike's Tactical 16" 5.56 Cold Hammer Forged (CHF) Mid-Length Barrel begins its life as a barrel blank loaded onto a rifled mandrel. As the piece is Cold Hammer forged it becomes work hardened and the lands and grooves are transferred to the interior of the barrel. This rifling is extremely durable and once given an interior finish of Mil-Spec Hard Chrome coating they're about as close to indestructible as a 16-inch AR barrel gets. That Chrome Coating is applied with the Mil-Spec standards of the M249 SAW in mind. That means the coating is almost double the thickness of the chrome coating Spec for an M4 barrel.
While it’s been said that the devil is in the details, you won’t find issues with this Spikes Tactical barrel. Even the gas block port size has been carefully calculated to ensure the best possible performance when the CHF Barrel is included in a weapon system. In the name of an accurate shooting experience, barrel threads are kept concentric to the bore of Spikes Tactical 16" 5.56 Cold Hammer Forged (CHF) Mid-Length Barrel. After everything else, each barrel is High-pressure tested and Magnetic particle inspected. Nothing is left to chance.
The finished product has an expected service life of more than 20,000 rounds fired. That’s one dependable, hard working barrel. Why would you want anything else?
